Part 2 Increased Glucose Increases Unhealthy Aging

Chronic high glucose levels cause significant physiological damage, including oxidative stress and inflammation, leading to severe conditions like diabetes and its complications, such as cardiovascular disease, neuropathy, and retinopathy.

Elevated glucose levels also promote cancer growth, osteoarthritis, and infections, emphasizing the importance of managing blood sugar to prevent these issues.

Hyperglycemia is linked to cognitive decline and dementia, with glucose peaks contributing more to cognitive impairment than sustained high glucose. Biological age, which reflects cellular changes, is a better predictor of health risks than chronological age, especially in diabetes patients.

Lifestyle changes, such as regular exercise and a healthy diet, can help stabilize prediabetes, reduce mortality risk, and promote healthier aging.
